About the role:
Life & Health IT Expert Business Analyst is responsible for business analysis and requirements gathering focused on transaction processing as well as data intensive solutions like Data acquisitions and transformations, large batch processing, data analytics. Business Analysis and requirement gathering experience on User interface & workflow systems is required.The L&H Senior Business Analyst will be driving end-to-end business solution development from design to delivery, solution integration, support operational incident and problem resolution and performance enhancements.Key skills include the ability to bring ideas from concept to reality and being able to communicate effectively to all stakeholders. In this position, the position holder will join a team of business analysts with a focus on leading initiatives in the L&H area and will be expected to collaborate with a team of developers and production support personnel.
Responsibilities:

• The key responsibilities would be:
• Build and maintain a trusted relationship with our internal business partners.
• Gather and document requirements for large global UI and workflow systems.
• Gather and document requirements for large data processing applications including Data Acquisition & transformation applications, large batch processing, data management and analytic applications
• Analyze business issues & build business case for large initiatives
• Rationalize and challenge requirements and processes together with the business to drive focus on high value improvements
• Capture complex business requirements and define corresponding solutions working closely with the business community
• Develop business functional specifications, mapping documents and system design specifications
• Support production incident and problem management and support production Go-Live activities
• Responsible for delivery and project management of initiatives.
• Collaborate with other teams in defining functionality, scope and timelines
• Present and communicate ideas and design to various teams for review and brainstorming
• Support development defect resolution and/or operational/production incident and problem solutions

Requirements/Qualifications:
Education:

• Bachelor's degree level or equivalent in information systems, business administration, computer science or related field.
• You will build and maintain a core set of high-demand global application including requirements analysis, documentation, design of data processing capabilities such as information model, application and reporting databases, data integration / interfaces, data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• You are a business, systems and data analyst by passion and a planner and doer by nature
• As an all-rounder, you enjoy taking time to understand business requirements, articulate a data product solution. You enjoy working with significant independence as part of a distributed team to solve business problems.
• Good English communication skills are a must, both spoken and written.
• You will be expected to lead a discussion with the Business
• 6 to 8 years of hands-on business analysis building global large applications, Application design development, data analysis
• Domain experience in the insurance industry, Life & Health preferred
• Ability to articulate complex issues to non-technical audiences
• Experience working with teammates and customers in remote locations
• Excellent in analytical thinking for addressing business needs via data analysis solutions
• Experience with data modelling tools, relational databases such as Oracle, SQL server is a plus
• Experience with Cloud computing in application and database design is a plus
