Job Title Senior Business Analyst (Business Translator)

What you\'ll do

As a Senior Business Translator, you are the go-to person for developing and implementing effective data management strategies which maximize business and customer outcomes. You play a key role as steward of strong governance, architecture and data exchange to ensure that data is accessible, better understood, managed and organized across Telstra.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute and provide input into the design of the data management strategy and architecture to optimize data quality, lifecycle, capture, replication, access, modelling, migration and assurance.
• Develop data management capabilities and appropriate solutions to ensure data quality, alignment and Risk management strategies are in place to support ongoing management of data.
• Work closely with data consumers to understand requirements, feasibility and risks and to advise on data management approaches to drive outcomes in line with data management strategy.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts across Telstra to establish and implement processes and/or systems capability to improve data outcomes and resolve data issues.
• Determine and articulate the business and customer impacts resulting from changes or improvements in data management approaches to justify investments and gain support from key stakeholders.
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies and potential risks in existing data management processes and data quality. Introduce new standards and tools that can be applied in the management, transformation and treatment of critical data and remediate any data quality/data alignment issues.
• Analyse potential ideas and test hypotheses to create strategies and an opportunity pipeline which is presented to leadership and program and governance teams for consideration and decision making.
• Support data governance through the implementation of business processes and management guidelines which can include strategies for effective storage, sharing and utilization across the enterprise.
• Stay up to date on innovative and emerging data management and governance practices and generate solutions to enhance current processes and systems in Telstra.
• Provide coaching and support to junior team members to build capability and ensure scope of work is delivered.

Who we\'re looking for.

• 8 + Years of experience as a Business Analyst role
• 8+ Years of experience as a Business Translator.
• Experience in Evaluating product & service design.
