JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior BI Developer will be responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining high quality BI solutions for various functions within the organization. This role will be setting the standards and best practices on BI development to streamline the BI life cycle process. This role will also serve as a mentor to junior BI developers to ensure standard work is met and their skills are elevated. RESPONSIBILITIES Create, enhance, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data objects from enterprise data residing on-premise and on the cloud. Meet with end users from various levels within the organization as well as the internal team to understand and analyze business requirements Create solutions using an agile, iterative approach to show incremental progress to the end users. Review current BI trends and recommend new solutions that will help advance the organization\'s BI capabilities Effectively communicate and present completed projects to the respective stakeholders. Create, design, implement, and document the BI lifecycle process standard work Update project tasks and due dates in a timely fashion to keep stakeholders apprised. REQUIREMENTS 7+ years\' experience with building and maintaining dashboards in Power BI High degree of proficiency with the DAX language Highly experienced and has good level of understanding in data modeling Experienced with creating and maintaining objects as well as writing queries in SQL Server Familiar with Power BI service administration Good knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, and semantic models (SSAS) concepts Knowledge of SSRS, SSAS and SSIS will be a huge plus. Experience working in an offshore environment under limited supervision. Working hours would be in alignment with Torrance, California (PST) timings as role would be supporting global team. Above average communication skills to work with, problem solve and train business users. BA/BS degree or equivalent desired. Strong customer service orientation.
