Senior Associate-Legal Job Brief: We are looking for a highly qualified Senior Legal Associate who should be able to handle open source reviews independently and have knowledge of open source licensing concepts and development practices and SDLC. The candidate should display a willingness to learn new skillsets and be a team player. : ? Review and understand Cognizant's open source software policy and execute comprehensive technical and legal compliance governance processes across global development groups, protecting Cognizant from open source license violations. ? Strong understanding of open source licensing concepts with an ability to provide interpretation. ? Basic knowledge of SDLC and other development practices. ? Executing Code Audits using Black Duck Protex and Black Duck HUB. ? Drive increased acceptance and adherence of open source compliance processes by participating in the review and approval workflows to facilitate quick comprehension of complex technology scenarios. ? Provide training to educate engineers, services and production staff on open source governance issues and related compliance practices. ? Experience with process improvement initiatives within teams is an advantage. Work Experience: ? Minimum 5 to 7 years post-qualification experience. ? Minimum of 5 year of handling Open source reviews. ? Knowledge of Software Compliance tools such a Black Duck Protex / Black Duck HUB is an added advantage. Basic Qualifications: ? B.Tech / B.E / M.Tech or MCA ? Outstanding written and oral communication skills. ? Strong time management and organizational skills. ? Must have strong work ethic and a desire to consistently perform at the highest levels of competence. Location: Bangalore (Preferable) / Hyderabad (Preferable) / Kolkata / Noida/Pune / Chennai / Gurugram (Gurgaon)
