Assistant Manager/ Senior Associate - Fund Solutions (Capital Partner/ Investor Reporting)

Purpose of the role

We seek to hire a Capital Partner/ Investor Reporting professional to join the Fund Solutions group. He/ She will have a variety of responsibilities and will work closely with the client\'s Capital Partnering team within the Global Finance team based out of United States.

Role Overview:

The role will gradually evolve from a supporting role to being responsible and owning the preparation and review of periodical investor reports, including customized portfolio performance reports and quarterly valuation reports for all investors as well as multiple ad hoc reporting. This position is more finance and reporting related and not an accounting role. The role requires strong analytical and excel skills. The successful candidate will be expected to work on various complex excel models to reconcile and record activities and ensure accurate reporting.

Scope & Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of customized reports for our ever-growing investor base on a quarterly and semi-annual basis, reflecting their investment performance, portfolio valuation, summary of portfolio companies, etc.
• Involved in review and preparation of quarterly valuation reporting to investors.
• Preparation of investors\' five-year liquidity and valuation projections
• Preparation of supplemental investor reports used by the investor relations team on a monthly basis.
• Preparing schedules to provide inputs for fund-level and investor-level portfolio performance calculations (IRR and MOIC)
• Working on unique reporting templates to respond to investors\' specific information needs
• Preparation of projected cash flow analysis for investors on ad hoc basis to assist in capital raising efforts
• Performing various quarter-end reconciliations of excel reporting model data
• Working on other special projects and ad hoc request as needed

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• CA or MBA Finance with 3-8 years\' work experience

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Prior experience in investor reporting or portfolio reporting for a global PE firm.
• Private equity experience/knowledge is required either with another PE firm, PE fund services or through public accounting audit experience.
• Sharp attention to detail with the ability to work timely with high volumes of data.
• Strong analytical skills. Must be a self-starter, creative thinker and problem solver.
• Requires excellent time management and project management skills with ability to multi-task and deliver on fixed deadlines.
• Requires strong technology skills especially excel (macros, visual basic, pivot tables, advance formulae etc.) and the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Macro building and troubleshooting, Alteryx experience would be added advantage.
• High integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive firm information and work independently with minimal to no supervision.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills conducive to working in a team environment across multiple geographies. Right attitude for the team and to be able to collaborate with Fund Solutions group.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Develop and enhance client relationships through strong communication and project management skills.
• Experience in creation of procedure documents or SOPs.
