About this opportunity

Be the lead architect in crafting Ericsson\'s BSS system using your deep understanding of the world of software while researching new technologies. As a Software Architect you will be leading product architecture from following perspective: Technology stack (including 3PP products, both open source and otherwise)

What you will do

• Secure that a new functional requirement gets an adequate technical solution; a solution that fits in the product & system architecture
• Propose architecture and high level design for new requirements which needs implementation in the System
• Take lead role for implementation of Business Requirements. Approx 60% work time is encouraged for hands-on coding.
• Design modelling
• Documentation related to R&D project activities (like quick study material, Technical Evaluation report, Modeling, Test specs, Review docs etc.)
• Participate in peer reviews and other inspection activities

You will bring

• Experience in resolving, evaluating, and defining the technology stack/3PPs for a software product.
• Excellence in Software Design, Architecture principles and Software Development Process
• Excellent experience in technologies/areas in Telecom development background specifically BSS - Billing guide proven experience
• Hands on Experience in Java Technologies (Java, J2EE and OSGi), Good command on Algorithms and data structures, OOAD, state machines Client-server systems, distributed systems
• Multithreaded programming, socket, signaling and messaging
• Experience in a software design modeling tool
• Experience and knowledge of Software architectures, Software life cycle, test specifications
• Proactive, motivated, works well in team and should be a good communicator
• Good knowledge of Linux and Solaris is added advantage
• Working experience in Application deployment modes be it classic deployment or CLOUD deployment on multi-site kind of set-up;
• Development using DOCKER / Containers (eg Apache Karaf)
• Validated experience in handling non-functional aspects not limited to Performance High Availability Geo-redundancy Security / AAA Logging frame-works Alarms management
• Good technical leadership skills (hands on as a technical leader)

Key Qualifications:

Education: Graduate in Computer Science or similar

Minimum years of experience:

14+ years of proven track record in software product development - Telecom BSS with substantial hands-on experience in design and development of Telecom Billing System.

B.E.(Bachelor of Engineering)/B.Tech.(Bachelor of Technologies)/M.Tech preferably in Computer Science or Electronics or Masters in Computer Application (MCA)

Sound written and verbal English language

Exposure to multicultural experiences a definite advantage
