About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant...

You will be a Senior Analytics Consultant in the SERM CRRA team. This team is responsible for building easy to use visualization, perform data analysis to generate meaningful business insights using complex datasets for our global stakeholders. The team is also responsible for testing key reports and produce process documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Use a data driven approach to identify trends, topics and patterns across Operational risk and Enterprise Risk Program datasets to inform credible challenge.
  • Develop BI solutions using Tableau or PowerBI based on Business requirement documentation provided
  • Create and interpret Business Intelligence data (Reporting, Basic Analytics, Predictive Analytics and Prescriptive Analytics) combined with business knowledge to draw supportable conclusions about current and future risk levels.
  • Develop analytical techniques that look across and connect multiple data types and sources to support risk oversight.
  • Use analytical models to support ad hoc research or inquiries based on topical concerns, inquiries or emerging themes.
  • Extract and analyze data from multiple technology systems/platforms and related data sources to identify factors that pose a risk to the firm.
  • Evaluate and correlate internal and external trends across different risk types to identify risk, emerging risk themes and understand potential impacts and aggregation risk.
Essential Qualifications:
  • 6-8 years of experience in reporting, analytics; developing and creating BI dashboards, working on end-to-end reports
  • Experience working with Tableau, SQL/Teradata or other data management, reporting, and query tools
  • Exposure in operational risk preferred; experience on Python preferred
  • Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data, data mining and intellectual curiosity with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience identifying internal and external data sources from multiple sources across the business
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to translate and present data in a manner that educates, enhances understanding, and influence decisions, bias for simplicity
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong writing skills - proven ability to translate data sets and conclusions drawn from analysis into business/executive format and language
  • Ability to support multiple projects with tight timelines

  • Certification in Risk Management
