Responsibilities

RISQ/RMA/HPC provides counterparty risk management for hedge funds, proprietary trading groups and CCPs for all core business lines within the SG Group that transact with, invest in, or take hedge fund shares as collateral. HPC defines the counterparty risk framework for managing these risks, including associated limits and thresholds.

Main roles and responsibilities include:

• Hedge Fund Analysis (QuickFilter) - These are desktop reviews of Hedge Fund shares taken as collateral of Fund of Hedge Fund financing facilities. The analyst will have to:

• Ensure the documentation provided is up-to-date and consistent with the requirements.
• Review the Hedge Fund documentation including Prospectuses (PPM/OM), Audited Financial Statements, Track records and input the key elements in the Hedge Fund rating tool.
• Analyze the funds' balance sheets and/or schedule of investments or risk reports to identify use of leverage and liquidity of the investment portfolio.
• Conduct reputation checks on the Hedge Fund, their Investment Manager and Key staff.
• Propose and validate (upon obtaining the necessary experience) ratings on Hedge Funds.
• Participate to add-hoc projects related to the Hedge Fund collateral exposure.
• Hedge fund NAV and Performance tracking

• Input NAV and performance provided by Hedge Funds or their third parties in SG's internal Hedge Fund tracking tool.
• Follow-up with Hedge Fund managers or their services providers when NAV/Performance data is not provided in due course.
• Raise alerts to Senior Hedge Fund analystslocated onshore upon large moves in NAV and/or performances

• Fund classification: Participate to the internal classification of fund counterparties and fund underlings as they are being onboarded
• Controls/KPI: assist the other regional team in performing controls on the production and/or other processes.

Profile required

• MBA in Finance/CFA/FRM and/or 3 to 5 years of work experience,

Experience: * Funds/Hedge funds analysis, either from an investment risk or counterparty credit risk perspective.

• Hedge fund NAV and performance analysis
• Competencies:
• Basic knowledge of counterparty credit risk
• Good communication skills as the role requires interaction with the rest of the HPC team worldwide and other internal stakeholders
• Very good command of MS office and in particular MS Excel (basic knowledge of VBA preferred)
• Knowledge of programming, in particular with Python highly desirable but not mandatory
