Essential capabilities

  • Strong Agile Project delivery & coaching experience
  • Experienced in establishing delivery measurement metrics
  • Experienced user of the agile software: Atlassian Jira and Jira Align, Broadcom Rally and Clarity
  • Able to lead through engaging, influencing and motivating your peers & stakeholders
  • Proven track record of building stakeholder engagement, communication and successful implementation of initiatives
  • Previous software development experience is a plus
  • Good communication skills - both listening & engaging
Experience
  • A strong technical background and an in-depth understanding of financial products and domains (Operations, processes, end users, customers, regulations)
  • Creativity and simplifying complex processes and issues, problem solving and process analysis
  • Extensive experience working in an agile environment
  • Ability to communicate a product vision to key stakeholders and team, developing it into a shaped backlog of key features, user stories and goals for individual sprints.
  • Comfortable playing a leadership role, including leading workshops, in a collocated cross functional business and IT Team through the discovery, development and operation usage stages of product development.
  • Ability to innovate, adapt and grasp new skills and content.
  • Ability to work closely with key stakeholders and build collaborative partnerships whilst sometimes saying no.
  • Proven analytical skills and evidence base decision making
  • Previous experience as a technical Business analyst or product owner
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field essential
Primary responsibilities

Responsible for capturing and grooming requirements into epics, features, user stories & dependencies in collaboration with the delivery squads that aligns with the business requirements.
  • Work with Product owner / Engineering manager to prioritize day to day decisions to enable development team to move quickly through product iterations.
  • Ensure the delivery and development teams understand the value of each user story that is being delivered at the right time.
  • Involved in the roadmap planning, release planning, execution, review of each sprint, releasing impact, value and focus on the right priorities and set sprint goals.
  • Work collaboratively with the Product owner / Scrum master and the squad to deliver the backlog.
Qualification Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in technology related degree
