Our new NAB Innovation Centre India (NICI) will support NAB to deliver faster, better and more personalised experiences to customers and colleagues. Based in Gurugram, India, NICI will drive our innovation program and spark more opportunities.



Essential capabilities

• Experience in providing technology client service
• Proven ability to use relevant data analytics approaches and tools to problem-solve and trouble-shoot.
• Focus on quality and detail.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to quality and auditability
• Integration, microservice patterns.
• Build and automation tools (Gradle (Kotlin DSL/Groovy), Jenkins, Python, Artifactory, Terraform, SonarQube, Checkmarx).
• Established network and platform (*nix) skills, Cloud hosting (AWS preferred)

• It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following qualifications and experience
• 7+ years Technology experience
• 5+ years in application development and / or support roles
• Java developer (10+ years), ideally with Banking and/or Finance industry exposure.
• Platform automation tools (DB Management, ansible, Jenkins, GITHUB)
• Workflow tools such as JIRA / Rally
• Java 11, Spring Boot, RDBMS (ideally Postgres, Oracle), Webservices (REST/SOAP), Apache Camel, Docker, SCM (Git), BDD (JBehave/Cucumber), & Unit Testing (Junit 5, Mockito).
• Distributed, event driven systems and using messaging protocols; Apache Kafka, messaging systems such as IBM MQ.
• Cloud provider experience in AWS or Azure

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements & solutions
• Write well designed & high quality testable code
• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
• Integrate software components into fully functional platform
• Apply pro-actively & perform hands-on design and implementation of best practice CI/CD
• Coaching & mentoring of other Service Team members
• Develop/contribute to software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
• Deploy programs and evaluate customer feedback
• Comply with project plans, industry standards and regulatory requirements

• Take assigned initiatives from inception to successful change deployment across relevant assets and platforms
• Recognized as a key contributor to the innovation, development and implementation of changes relating to value control and reconciliations
• Evidence of potential cost savings through process simplification, optimization and automation
• Stakeholder engagement recognised as trusted advisor to the business
