Responsibilities : As a Senior Agronomist at Grovera Farms, you will: Oversee the cultivation of bell peppers across three 3-acre hydroponic farms. Lead a team of skilled growers and technicians, ensuring efficient operations and plant health. Implement best practices in soilless farming techniques, nutrient management, and climate control. Develop and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies and techniques to maintain a healthy and pest-free crop. Monitor and optimize crop performance, ensuring high yields and quality. Collaborate with our R&D team to innovate and improve cultivation methods. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and share your expertise with the team. ???? Qualifications : We are seeking candidates who possess: Proven experience in managing large-scale hydroponic farms, especially with bell peppers. In-depth knowledge of the Maharashtra region\'s climate, soil conditions, and growing seasons. Expertise in soilless farming techniques, including nutrient film, or similar systems. Strong leadership and team management skills. A passion for sustainable agriculture and a commitment to eco-friendly practices. ???? Technical Qualifications : To excel in this role, candidates should also have: A Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in hydroponic crop production and management Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to use data-driven insights to optimize crop production. Experience with greenhouse automation systems and technology. In-depth knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies, nutrient management, and irrigation systems Experience developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Expertise in pest and disease identification and control methods. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
