The Role
For the role of Senior Administrative and Research Assistant, we aim to enhance our operational effectiveness and strategic decision-making within our sales and business development teams. This pivotal role supports our executive director and team, offering a blend of administrative expertise, strategic research, and customer engagement. Ideal candidates are proactive, meticulously organised, and possess a keen analytical mindset to support our growth and operational efficiency. Below is the detailed job description for this dynamic position:
Role responsibilities:
In this dynamic role, the candidate will be an essential part of the executive director\xe2\x80\x99s team, offering vital support and resolving matters early on. The position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic Support: Act as a vital aide to the executive director, providing comprehensive sales and administrative support to enhance strategic decision-making and operational efficiency across the business development team.
  • Pipeline Management: Oversee and refine the opportunity pipeline, ensuring it is up-to-date and effectively managed. Proactively engage with the sales team and clients to expedite the closing process, fostering an environment of urgency and efficiency.
  • Research and Insights: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential prospects and valuable contacts through various sources, including the internet, publications, and industry reports. Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, regulatory changes, and institutional insights to inform strategic planning and positioning.
  • Proposal Development: Skillfully prepare and follow up on proposals, quotations, and booking forms for prospective clients, ensuring clarity, precision, and alignment with client needs and company standards.
  • Customer Engagement: Provide exemplary customer service for confirmed orders, acting as a liaison between clients and delivery teams to guarantee outstanding support and satisfaction.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Gather and analyse market intelligence, offering actionable insights on competitors, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact the business.
  • Operational and Administrative Support: Offer extensive administrative assistance, including travel arrangements and logistical support, to ensure seamless operations and address the diverse needs of the business.

Key skills and experience:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced sales or business development environment strong demonstratable experience
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities, with a focus on strategic insights and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • High level of proficiency in office and CRM software, with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude, capable of anticipating needs and acting decisively under pressure.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Flexible with business travel from time to time
