Job Description
Job Title: Senior Accounting Specialist, GL.
Reports To: Manager, Finance.
Job Location: Guindy, Chennai.
Job Summary:
- Ensure monthly closing of books accurately and on time
- Prepare GL reconciliation in time
- Maintain Fixed Assets in SAP correctly and on time
- Ensure timely Inter Company reconciliations
- Support information for weekly submissions of cashflow
- Ensure filing of statutory (Tax / other compliance) returns in time
- Support completion of Statutory, Internal, Tax and Transfer Pricing audits in time
- End to End Indirect Tax compliance, including but not limited to collating and sharing data for GST refunds and handling Indirect tax assessments in coordination with consultants, monthly and yearly GST return filing.
- Prepare and submit Quarterly Balance Sheet Analytics (wherever required)
- To handle end to end Tax Audit
Qualification:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in relevant industry, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Qualified or Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant.
- Experience in SAP specifically in GL & FA Modules, intermediate skills in MS office- Excel and Power Point
- Specific work experience in handling GST compliance.
- Strong focus on Internal Controls and Compliance
- High level of resilience and ability to work under pressure
