Punjabi Kadhai is a well-established restaurant known for its authentic Punjabi cuisine and warm hospitality. The menu features a wide range of dishes from North India, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and oversee all aspects of financial management. Responsibilities:
- Managing all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- GST - TDS - IT Return and compliance handy.
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and reporting variances.
- Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Researching technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Supporting the month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Undertaking any additional controller duties as necessary.
- Proven working experience as a accountant in the Restaurant or any other Industry.
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- An advanced degree in Accounting.
- Knowledge of Tally Software
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
