Job Summary:

The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the security operations of assigned locations or premises, ensuring the safety and protection of personnel, property, and assets. This role includes managing a team of security personnel, monitoring security systems, and implementing procedures to prevent incidents and respond to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of security staff to ensure effective and efficient security operations. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure a safe and secure environment. Monitor surveillance systems and access control points to detect and respond to security breaches or irregular activities. Maintain up-to-date logs, reports, and incident records. Ensure that all security staff follow organizational policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Train and orient new security personnel on site-specific policies and procedures. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency responders as required. Investigate security breaches, accidents, and other incidents; prepare reports with findings and recommendations. Assist in developing and implementing security policies and protocols. Maintain a visible and professional presence on-site to deter criminal activity and reassure staff and visitors. Manage shift scheduling, attendance, and performance of security team members.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a security role, with at least 1-3 years in a supervisory position. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Sound knowledge of security procedures, emergency response, and surveillance equipment. Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure. Physical fitness and willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Valid security license or certification (if required by law or location).

Preferred Qualifications:

Military or law enforcement background is a plus. Basic computer skills (MS Office, security software/CCTV systems). First Aid, CPR, or other emergency response training.
