Security Operations Analyst

Overview

Are you detail-oriented and analytical? These are top characteristics needed to excel in our Security Operations Analyst role. This role will primarily support Edifecs' day-to-day security operations.

What you will do:

• Perform scheduled and ad-hoc vulnerability assessments on cloud infrastructure, workstations, data center systems, network equipment, and applications
• Work with cross-functional technical teams to ensure assets are appropriately covered by the Vulnerability Management program and tooling
• Review and communicate vulnerability findings to the teams responsible for remediation
• Assist in prioritizing remediation and mitigation activities using risk criteria such as CVSS, exposure, and asset criticality mentioned in the Vulnerabilty Management Standards
• Assist in compiling the vulnerability reports/metrics
• Monitoring of security alerts; triage to determine if escalation is required
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation to the overall security program
• Assist with various security and risk projects and program initiatives as assigned
• Develop and maintain security SOP documentation
• Provide ongoing security operations support for fast growing, highly regulated, Edifecs healthcare software products, solutions, and services.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security or related disciplines required
• 1-2 years of technical experience, preferably in a hands-on cyber security role
• Solid understanding of security and network technologies - firewalls, IDS, anti-malware, VPN, MFA, RBAC, encryption, operating system processes, VMs, LAN/WAN networking, TCP/IP protocols
• Foundational level of scripting knowledge is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a must
• Passion for technology, security and innovation
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills; must be able to assess, evaluate and analyze a variety of business and technology
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Proficiency with MS Office and capable of learning internal productivity and security tools
