About the role

A) Participate in the security monitoring of mission-critical network nodes and systems, and security devices to detect any anomalies.

b) Provide first-level response & investigation to security monitoring team.

c) Investigate abnormal events, qualify potential security breaches, raise security incident alerts and perform technical & management escalation.

d) Implement mitigation actions in response to confirmed security incidents and answer to Network Security Experts escalations for verification and possible further mitigation actions.

e) Perform assigned change management activities on security devices.

f) Document incident cases and archive all related evidence.

g) Perform network security risk & vulnerability assessments and systems security audits.

h) Act as POC for backbone and operational infrastructure security related incident, companywide. Advanced level of understanding of technology and configuration of Security products and tools.

• Capable of implementing remediation actions in response to confirmed security incidents

Problems/issues with minimal direction and supervision.

• Perform changes on security devices / services by following the CM process and technical documentation.
• Engage in vulnerability management activities and perform vulnerability assessment of internal networks / systems, system audits to ensure policy compliance
• Perform threat hunting based on the scheduled threat reports

About you

A) University Degree /Diploma or equivalent (computer or communications oriented).

b) Preferred 3-5 years experience in a Network Security environment within the telecom or IT industry.

c) Good level of practiced technical knowledge on SIEM, FWs, IDS/IPS, URL Filters, Windows & UNIX OS variants

d) Good diagnostic and network troubleshooting skills.

e) Ability to understand, analyze and resolve problems quickly

f) Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and with all nationalities and cultures.

g) Self-motivated and capable to work within a strong team environment is essential.

h) Must be fluent in English language. Possession of multi languages is an asset.

i) Ability to identify problems and work to resolution as required.

j) Proactive attitude to use his/her initiative to react quickly, to work effectively in emergency situations under minimum supervision. Good log analytic, ethical hacking skills, trouble shooting skills on Firewalls, IPS, routing etc. Certifications: GCDA, RHCE, CEH, SSCP, CCNP, ITIL.

The role of Senior Security Analyst will give you an opportunity to perform real-time security monitoring and reactivity for security incidents with regards to operational infrastructure and backbone networks. This role also provides an opportunity to grow into this department as Senior Network Security Engineer.
