Your role

- monitor settlement transaction to ensure timely settlement incl. pre-matching and cancel and rebook transactions
- Place manual settlement and / or transfer instructions, affirm broker confirmations and handle broker enquiries
- systematically chase and resolve pending transfers/ settlements, differences and breaks (cash and security)
- administrate our securities settlement static data and standard settlement instructions (SSI) reference table
- manage our offshore unit (monitoring, enquiries, etc.)
- collaborate with interface partners as part of efficiency improvements and improve processes continuously

Your team

You\'ll be working in the team Order Room (OR)-Settlements in Pune and/or Non-Order Room. We are responsible for the Order Room settlements for UBS Switzerland AG und UBS Deutschland AG. This comprises pre-matching assistance, realignments, settlement monitoring, settlement fails management inclusive fails reporting. Investigating cash and securities are additional tasks. Through continuous process control and improvement a high quality standard and high productivity is ensured.

Your expertise

  • Banking apprenticeship with several years of professional experience in Operations/Back-Office area/ideally in securities environment
  • Work Closely with other business units like front office middle office technology, etc. to ensure smooth conduct of Settlements\' operational tasks.
  • Interact and communicate with the business partners oblique request on regular basis to help them manage their/our expectations.
  • Should display in appreciation of control quality and risk related issues, proactive approach to avoid potential incidents such as buy-ins, TMPG claim, and cash management charges, late payment fees, etc..
  • Ensure existing controls are followed by team. Active participation in daily team huddle and raise all best practices.
  • Escalate to internal/external parties regularly for earliest & timely settlements of trades, etc.
  • Ensure updating of SOPs, issue logs/exception logs on regular intervals
  • Ensure proper communication compliance of company and regulatory policies affecting areas manage.
  • Maintain holistic, optimistic team environment encouraging people to challenge status quo express your views
  • Identify, suggest, participate in process improvement related initiatives for successful execution.
  • Ensure all tasks/activities are completed well within SLA
  • Customer oriented mindset / Client facing experience
  • Good understanding of settlements business domain, and experience in security trade life cycle
  • Capability to work in a fast paced high growth environment
  • Ability to analyse issues and drive solutions
  • Should have sound knowledge of excel
  • Problem solving skills
  • Higher graduation is an advantage
  • Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, with a solution-oriented way of thinking

  • Responsible and conscious of risks. Pay attention to detail, quality and client satisfaction is imperative.
  • Independent, attentive to detail, with the ability to meet tight deadlines under high pressure, with the ability to multitask due to monitoring and addressing multiple transfers and issues concurrently
  • Keen to deliver highest level of quality services
  • Effective Communication, time management skills and highly result oriented
  • Fluent in English and German, will be an added advantage
