Responsibilities

Main Purpose of the Role:
Primary focus would be to build Data solutions for key projects. This would include work on Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) using the below technologies and ensuring on time and on budget development/delivery. Satisfying project requirements while adhering to enterprise architecture standards. Role will drive key data and digital projects and also drive innovation related activities

The responsibilities include leading X functional technical team, decipher business requirements to develop solution as per enterprise standards and technically mentor team members to navigate any challenge. The responsibility would also include providing estimations, gathering technical requirements and presenting status to business stakeholders.

1. In-depth knowledge of core TERADATA concepts/architecture, load utilities (BTEQ, MLOAD, FASTLOAD), OLAP functions, SQL writing, performance tuning techniques, identifying in the eliminating spool spaces, skewness issues etc.
2. Good understanding of Teradata architecture (Staging, foundation and reporting)
3. Understanding various indexes and using appropriately in the queries
4. Experiencing in End to End implementation of data-warehousing projects
5. Advanced SQL skills, including use of derived tables, unions, multi-table inner/outer joins.
6. Experienced in writing scripts to write wrapper scripts to call ETL Jobs
7. Experience in developing solution using Azure Data lake, ADF would be added advantage.
8. Helping team members to navigate challenges and arrive at a solution as per enterprise standard. Reviewing their work products to ensure quality.

Accountabilities:
Drive delivery of key projects within time and budget
Develop and drive solution design and build to ensure scalability, performance and reuse
Ensure on time and on budget delivery which satisfies project requirements, while adhering to enterprise architecture Facilitate work intake, prioritization and release timing; balancing demand and available resources. Ensure tactical initiatives are aligned with the strategic vision and business needs

Qualifications

Years of Exp:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Management, or related field
• 8 -9 years’ experience in Information Technology
• Good written and verbal communication skills along with collaboration and listening skills
• Experience dealing with multiple vendors is necessary

Mandatory Skills:

• Technology skill should include :

• Solutions Delivery experience - system development lifecycle, integration, and sustainability
• Data modeling or database experience; experience with ER/Studio and/or Erwin modeling tools
• Experience in Data, BI or Analytics projects
