:
Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum 15-20 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
Industry Exposure: e.g. Chemicals, Cement, Textiles, Power, Manufacturing.]
To lead the Mechanical Department and ensure efficient functioning of all mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, project execution, and team performance. The role involves strategic planning, team leadership, budgeting, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth plant or project operations while meeting safety, quality, and cost targets.
The candidate should have a good experience and knowledge of - Design, Engineering, manufacturing, inspection and Testing of * Static Equipment like - Metallic (CS and SS) and non metallic (FRP) tanks, vessels and other static equipment. The incumbent should be conversant with latest version of relevant national/ international standards/ codes and practices.

• Rotary Equipment like- different kind of pumps, Fans/ Blowers, Compressors, Dryers, chillers, AHUS, EOT Cranes & Hoists, Conveyors & Feeders,
• Process Equipment like- Evaporators, Absorbers, Dissolvers/Blenders, Mixing Equipment
• ETP, WTP
• Firefighting and HVAC equipment
• Exposure / Experience in VSF / Excel Fibre plants will be and added advantage
• Piping Fabrication and Installation-
• Should be proficient in studying and analysing P&IDs and Piping isometrics.
• Derive MTOs from isometrics
• Should have sound experience in fabrication, installation and Testing of metallic (CS and SS) and non-metallic (FRP) piping and piping supports
• Structural fabrication and Erection
• Sound experience in welding methods, practices, tests, surface preparation and painting
• Equipment Installation, levelling, alignment, testing, trail runs, pre-commissioning and commissioning
• Coordination with external agencies like- Engineering Consultant, Equipment and component suppliers, OEMS, Construction Partners
• Interdisciplinary coordination for smooth project execution, handover and takeover etc.

Department Leadership

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and identify training needs.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and best engineering practices

Project Management

• Lead mechanical scope of capital and expansion projects.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of new equipment or systems.
• Prepare project plans, cost estimates, technical specifications, and resource allocation.

Skills Required
