Service Operations APAC Operations Engineering APAC Plant & Hybrid Plant & Hybrid APAC is part of the Service Business Unit APAC and supports the organization in selling, installing, and servicing a large number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large d wind power plants. Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors. Responsibilities Remote first time fix rate improved Detailed technical recommendation provided to next role in process Solutions documented in SVGA and by this database upgraded Knowledge shared within team, relevant roles in the process and across the global Ops Community On-site trouble shooting work orders, trends and developments actively processes, and solutions provided Regional anchor point for remote trouble shooting Review L1 work order backlog (after ROC) and assess needs for further actions Assess if additional remote troubleshooting activities can be performed (analysis and solution finding) If taken, document additional remote troubleshooting actions not existing/provided currently within VGA Forward suggestion / technically planned work order to improve on-site first time fix rate Provide input to trouble shooting task lists / parts and tools Regular analysis of top on-site trouble shooting work orders to identify the root cause and document action plans in VGA Participate in regular meetings focusing on asset faults / actions and solutions, and join ROC community to improve remote first time fix rate On-call technical support to remote sites Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication or Electrical Engineering with 6 to 8 yr of experience or equivalent Experience in working with SCADA systems, e.g. in Wind Power Plants or the power industry Experience in AB PLC programming and automation Experience in communication Protocol (MODBUS, DNP, OPC, IEC, etc.) Familiar with fiber optic principles, termination, and testing equipment/techniques Core competencies in networking fundamentals Knowledge and experience in Microsoft OS, Server, and SQL including administrative functionalities Competencies Understanding of Vestas SCADA systems Analytical and detailed working approach Self-organization / good time management and stress resistant Affinity to work within different systems to analyze root-cause and document solutions Ability to work under pressure Good in Microsoft Office & Excel MSCE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) & HP server experience preferred Ability to handle and influence activities with internal and external customers Fluent in English and strong verbal and written abilities Effectively communicate across all levels within the organization regarding complex technical and commercial issues Ability to work in an environment using a decentralized, team-based approach Good communication and presentation skills Good understanding of detailed engineering of the SCADA system, OFC Network, SCADA installations, and configuration Able to review Technical Requirement Specifications, Design Descriptions Experience with design and Troubleshooting of Network issues remotely and on-site Able to review Test & Verification Procedures and Reports Able to perform corrective and preventative maintenance for installed SCADA systems Able to report on system status and coordination for updates Able to collaborate across the APAC SCADA team and global SCADA What We Offer We offer an exciting job in a progressive, international environment.
