Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with the implementation process of new clients: information gathering, setting up clients, enrolling employees and loading historical information in payroll platform Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients throughout the implementation process Manage workflow through the first payroll period to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely, applying multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment Review and reconcile payrolls prior to transmission to client, validating confirmed reports Maintain a high rate of client retention through quality service and with excellent communication skills (by phone and email) Research and resolve client/system problems, offering solutions with timely responses; document special requests in company database for tracking purposes Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with clients, agencies and coworkers to promote a quality service image Provide back-up support to other payroll team members as needed Collaborate with HR, Benefits and Accounting teams for payroll-related concerns Perform other work-related duties as assigned ##LI-DNI Graduate 3+ years of payroll processing experience required Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws is also a must Proficient in MS Office, data entry and office equipment (i.e. telephone, head set, 10-key or calculator, PC, )
Excellent communication skills are required for this role with no evidence of regional language influence.
Ability to hold a conversation and engage the client for a long duration.
Listening and probing skills should be excellent.
Should be able to display empathy and acknowledge appropriately.
Ability to articulate complex resolutions in a simplified manner
Mastery and control over verbal communication
Proven proficiency in prioritizing critical client issues and managing workflow (Required)
Proficiency in the use of PC applications (Required)
Excellent in both Oral and written communication
Working knowledge of payroll and benefits administration is helpful (Highly Preferred)
Strong interpersonal, conflict management, and mentoring skills
