Summary Release and Project Manager will manage and deliver SAP related projects, enhancements, and/or fix releases. The role will be part of the SAP Delivery Operations team contributing to the overall SAP solution working closely with PDx business stakeholders, SAP Dev Ops PMO, Solution Architects, and technical resources. Roles and Responsibilities Overall responsibility for delivering SAP projects and programs as per agreed timelines, within budget and according to GE HealthCare project management process and standards. Coordinate and orchestrate service transition activities across the SAP team and wider business / technical teams. Managing technical activities (e.g., upgrades, data centre migrations, innovation initiatives) Contribute to capacity management process for extended SAP Delivery Operations team with regards to managed projects and initiatives. SAP service transition delivery processes and Change/Release/Test management: To lead and manage scoping of SAP releases and scheduling key milestones in alignment with key IT and Business stakeholders. Assure risk-based testing rigor, defect management and related quality management processes are in place and documented in line with policy and process. Ongoing management of system releases, associated resources and risk mitigation. Manage the coordination of project related activities with the end-to-end SAP team and Business representatives for example planning cutover activities ensuring necessary rollbacks/contingencies. Ensure the required technical standards, change controls and quality procedures are followed, records kept, and documentation maintained for system validation requirements, including knowledge transfer to support operations. SAP environments management & integration management: In close cooperation with respective functional/technical teams and in line with change controls processes manage configuration/development objects across SAP environments in a leadership capacity. Overall responsibility for ensuring change controls are in place and followed for transporting development objects between designated environments including production cutover. Lead the allocation and use of different SAP environments for enhancement development. Support other managerial and technical activities necessary to keep vitality and security of SAP ERP suite inside the GE Healthcare organisation. Qualifications / Requirements: Strong project management skills. Proven ability to manage complex project (e.g., rollouts, technical upgrades, new solutions impacting not only SAP but also interconnected applications) through their lifecycle in both waterfall and agile methodology. Strong leadership skills. Proven ability to manage people (extended horizontal teams), stakeholders and working with diversified teams in international environment. Good understanding of ITIL processes, particularly Release, Change Management and Test Management. Good understanding of validated and/or qualified systems. Excellent spoken and written English skills. A relevant degree from University/College or equivalent relevant qualification/experience. Release Management experience. Planning and managing full system development life cycle: analysis, designing, coding, testing, performance tuning and documentation, as well as in cutover management (planning and coordinating execution of cutover activities). Desired Characteristics: Experience of Healthcare technology and pharmaceutical diagnostics. Experience/ certification in SAP ECC, SAP APO and SAP Solution Manager. Experience with ChaRM, HP ALM and ServiceNow. Experience of test automation tools and techniques within an SAP landscape. Experience with driving or participating in creation of SAP platform strategy. Exposure to new technologies such as mobility integration. Lean processes re-design skills. Exposure to validated or qualified systems including knowledge of GxP. Experience in a SOX IT controls certified environment. Knowledge of or experience with middleware solutions, e.g. SOA, BOOMI.
