• The person hired for the position of Record to Report Analyst SAP FI-TAX will be responsible for the implementation and support of key Finance Tax processes in 3Ms SAP ERP environment. The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of analytical and technical skills, and will design best practice SAP solutions in close collaboration with business counterparts. The position will include working across multiple areas and solutions to support both production and new releases of SAP ERP within 3M. In addition to SAP, the position will support additional applications in the ERP Ecosystem, including but not limited to bolt-on tax engine and connection tools.
• Assist in implementing/deploying SAP ERP Financials, integration, and testing in assigned areas
• Execute and deliver SAP Solutions to 3M Global Finance/Tax Operations through the leadership of process design and configuration, that meet defined global business objectives and requirements
• Collaborate with business counterparts in the design, development, testing and delivery of SAP standard finance SAP Solutions
• Collaborate with IT colleagues, team members and cross functional teams in application design, development, integration, testing and deployment of SAP Solutions
• Design, create, test & document the configuration of SAP Modules to support global business requirements and performance goals
• Work with 3M business areas and IT colleagues to define the overall application and technical requirements.
• Ensure the products and components work together to meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the functional, security, integration, performance, quality and operational requirements.
• Identify and help resolve design issues, participates and provides critique for design reviews
• Advocate recommended process design changes within their process community
• Support adherence to business and program objectives and program mission
• Troubleshooting of escalated production issues
• Bachelor\'s degree or higher from an accredited university with concentration in Accounting or Management Information Systems
• Experience in indirect taxes.
• A minimum of 2 years experience with SAP FI and SAP ABAP Coding Tax configuration and design in SAP Finance, and working knowledge of SAP integration to an external Tax engine
• Excellent communications both written and verbal.
• Ability to complex scenarios solutions various i.e., enhancements required, deployment or production issues.
• A minimum of 2 years experience producing business process, configuration, and WRICEF functional design documentation with high quality
• A minimum 2 years experience with MS Office suite and Visio
• Ability to decipher complex cross functional scenarios
• Experience with external interfaces, including EDI, as well as ALE/IDOC definition (would be a plus)
• Experience with agile / iterative development methodologies to deliver SAP WRICEF objects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Educational or professional background in Finance or Accounting, including a CPA or CMA designation (nice to have)
• A minimum 1 years experience with international or global SAP deployments.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team o Proactive, confidence to escalate when necessary
• Strong grasp of integration between SAP Financial Accounting (FI), Materials Management (MM) and Sales & Distribution (SD)
• Experience with the following tools: SAP Solution Manager, ALMQC, External tax engine, e.g. OneSource Determination
