Introduction: Driving the strategy, design and implementation of SAP Accounting solutions across Barclays Risk, Finance & Treasury. What will you be doing Delivery of projects and enhancement/maintenance requests for the SAP Finance product set, encompassing: Undertake initial review activities including feasibility evaluation and design consideration for all projects. Leading discussion with key business stakeholders to ensure solution options provide the best fit against outcomes and budget, balancing short term demands with long term strategic goals. Solutions developed should account for both technical considerations as well as related support and broader business implications. Accountability for the viability of proposed solutions and providing direction, advice and guidance on the approach to the solution throughout the project. Performing a design authority review on projects and minor enhancements, ensuring that the detailed designs and solutions delivered align to the application strategy and roadmap architecture, managing and resolving any design issues as they arise. Ensure all developments are fully documented, meet high level design requirements, as well as regulatory and industry standards to ensure project delivery is compliant and fit for purpose Proactively keep abreast of industry developments, skills and technologies and share information, ideas and best practice with other colleagues to improve skills and knowledge. Undertake required Governance activities (e.g. RFTAC submissions, Agile guild engagement) in support of projects to ensure that Barclays architectures principles and roadmaps are maintained and adhered to in all proposed solutions. What we\'re looking for: Team player and strong leadership skills. Expert knowledge of core SAP functionality, SAP configuration and design principles. Exposure or experience in SAP PAPM preferred. Able to explain and translate SAP platform functionalities from first principles through to in-house custom build to wide range of stakeholders ranging from senior management to product developers. Able to present complex subjects in a simplified manner to a range of different audiences Understands the technologies involved, current IT developments and industry direction. Has a broad knowledge of IT and an excellent understanding of how technology impacts on business functions. Will be expected to keep abreast of emerging technologies and potential for application within Barclays. Maintains a strong knowledge of the internal and external business environment likely to affect business strategic direction or tactical solution development. Strong analytical and logical skills - the ability to quickly solve problems in a high-pressure environment. Highly effective communicator/presenter. Should have excellent written and verbal English language skills. In depth knowledge of software development best practices and the software development life cycle. Experience in project management. Able to quickly learn, apply concepts and adapt to a changing business environment. Ability to work effectively with IT teams and stakeholders across multiple geographies and cultures.
