Job Description
- Retail bankers work at financial institutions where they assist clients and provide advice on financial services. They explain new products, assist with account openings, provide advice, cross-sell products, and respond to complaints.Retail Banker Responsibilities :- Greeting customers.- Assisting customers with their banking needs.- Providing advice and suggestions.- Opening and closing savings and checking accounts.- Cross-selling financial services and products.- Resolving customer complaints.- Escalating issues to the bank manager, when necessary.- Performing basic office and clerical duties.- Reporting to the banking manager.Retail Banker Requirements :- High school diploma or GED.- Experience as a teller or retail banker preferred.- Friendly and professional demeanor.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Advanced knowledge of banking and financial procedures.- Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.- Experience with banking and office software.- Strong attention to detail.
