The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships to drive bookings and increase revenue for the hotel/property.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and target new business opportunities in the corporate, leisure, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segments.
Regularly meet with travel agents, corporate clients, event planners, and other potential partners to promote the property and close deals.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the Mumbai region.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
Conduct property visits, site inspections, and presentations for prospective clients.
Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry functions to represent the property.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets set by management.
Coordinate with the reservations and operations team to ensure smooth service delivery for client bookings.
Provide timely sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management.
Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies to stay competitive in the local market.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
3-6 years of proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales, preferably in the Mumbai market.
Strong network and relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, and event companies in Mumbai.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Willingness to travel locally for client meetings and industry events.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of local Mumbai travel and hospitality market trends.
Multilingual abilities (especially regional or international languages) will be a plus.
