Job Summary
The Head of Sales is responsible for leading the hotel's sales strategy to maximize revenue, market share, and brand positioning. This senior leadership role oversees all sales functions, develops high-impact business strategies, manages key client relationships, and drives performance across corporate, leisure, MICE, and group segments while aligning with the hotel's overall business objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
Develop and implement short- and long-term sales strategies aligned with hotel revenue and brand goals
Set sales targets, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring achievement of revenue and occupancy objectives
Analyze market trends, demand patterns, and competitor performance to optimize pricing and sales strategies
Sales Operations & Business Development
Lead and manage corporate, leisure, MICE, and group sales segments
Identify and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic accounts
Oversee contract negotiations, rate structures, and key account agreements
Ensure effective coordination between sales, revenue management, marketing, and operations teams
Team Management
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team
Define KPIs, monitor performance, and conduct regular reviews
Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities
Client & Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel partners, event planners, and industry stakeholders
Represent the hotel at trade shows, roadshows, networking events, and industry forums
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and repeat business
Reporting & Performance Management
Prepare and present sales performance reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management
Monitor ROI on sales initiatives and marketing campaigns
Ensure accurate CRM usage and sales pipeline management
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
8-12 years of progressive experience in hotel sales, with at least 4-5 years in a senior leadership role
Strong understanding of hotel operations, revenue management, distribution channels, and market segmentation
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets
Experience managing large sales teams and key corporate accounts
