Education : Diploma /Degree in safety management or relevant field is preferred Work Experiences : 3 to 7 yrs Duties:
To carry out inspections on site to determine hazardous situations. To create regulations and policies to overcome them.
To evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards and develop strategies to control risks in the workplace.
To inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and those for the handling and storage of hazardous substances.
Review physical, biological and chemical workplace hazards
Conduct safety and environmental audit.
Investigate health-and-safety-related complaints, spills of hazardous chemicals, outbreaks of diseases or poisonings, and workplace accidents
Inspect workplaces to ensure that equipment, materials and production processes do not present a safety or health hazard to employees or the general public
Develop, implement and evaluate health and safety programs and strategies
Provide consultation and deliver training programs to construction industry employers and employees on issues of workplace safety and (depending on the project) environmental protection
Responsibilities
Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker's compensation claims
Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
To aware employees at construction site about health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Must have knowledge about site safety rules in construction sector
Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
Excellent organizational and motivational skills
Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
