Job Description


Job Responsibilities As a Safety Officer, you will implement and oversee comprehensive safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and provide training to uphold the highest standards of safety throughout our iconic hotel. Responsibilities: - Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations in accordance with local laws and hotel standards. - Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and emergency exits, to identify and address potential safety hazards. - Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, fire drills, and crisis management protocols, to ensure readiness for any unforeseen events. - Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to safety incidents, accidents, and emergencies, coordinating with relevant departments and authorities to mitigate risks and ensure guest and employee well-being. - Training and Education: Provide ongoing safety training and education to hotel staff, including new employee orientation, to promote awareness and compliance with safety protocols and procedures. - Safety Equipment: Ensure the proper maintenance, inspection, and functionality of safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting systems, to safeguard against potential hazards. - Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities, and prepare reports for management review and regulatory compliance. Job Requirements Qualifications: - Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, or relevant safety and security experience, is preferred. - Knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards, with the ability to interpret and implement policies effectively. - Strong attention to detail and observational skills, with the ability to identify potential safety hazards and risks. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with guests, employees, and external authorities. - Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with effective problem-solving skills and the capacity to make quick and informed decisions during emergencies. - Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Fire Safety is desirable. - Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Office, for documentation and reporting purposes.
