Key Objectives of the Job

• Minimize the credit risk exposure in the regional debtor portfolio while supporting sales/revenue growth
• Minimize DSO, Overdue balances and Bad Debt write offs and maximize Incoming Cash Flow of regional AkzoNobel Debtor Portfolio.
• Lead I2C activities in Regional Accounting Center
• Coordinate with RAC (BPO / Captive) & Accounting Controllers to ensure smooth running of I2C operations
• Manages the operational I2C activities in a region.
• Monitor and ensure robust internal control
• Implement Accounting policies and processes
• Oversee (with dotted line reporting in region to this role) I2P and R2R activities
• Drive CI (level 3)
• Ensure control and compliance as per defined framework
• Ensure employee engagement and succession plan
• Responsibilities
• Set up/manage the regional I2C department
• Recruit the regional I2C team
• Supervise in standard I2C reporting cycle and issue ad hoc reports on portfolio performance for analytical purposes and stakeholder sharing.
• Production of monthly figures for the analysis of aged debt and monthly STOP lists.
• Ensure that the I2C team have the right technical skills as well as the softer skills required to make the team a world class organization.
• Lead the team to comply with global Credit management procedures and policies.
• Complies with company rules and regulations
• Monitors GBS service delivery
• Helps with local authorities and internal / external auditors
• Identifies recurring issues for process improvement and supports change
• Harmonizes and documents processes
• Job Requirements
• Master's degree in accounting or business administration
• At least 10-15 years relevant work experience in Finance or Credit management level experience
• Experience with set up regional accounting center, recruitment and monitor daily operations.
• Experience with managing credit operation team
• Experience in sales/customer focused commercial role
• Good knowledge of accounting in ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Microsoft Office
• Local language, English (fluent)
• Good people management and leadership skills; managing development, performance and technical competencies of the team
• Strong 'hands-on' mentality
• Change management/Agile approach

• Able to work with deadlines and pressure, e.g., during month closing
