Business Operations - Junior Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ROUTING

  • Optimize the call routing for assigned portfolio of international destinations to achieve best quality and cost levels.
  • Make real-time routing adjustments based on market conditions and quality incidents.
  • Drive down the cost to improve gross profit and market competitiveness while maintaining necessary quality standards.
  • Monitor call quality to ensure highest possible standards for our customers.
  • Review special commitment deals with other telecom carriers to ensure deal structure is market driven and achievable from a routing perspective.
  • Monitor the progress of the outgoing traffic on commitment deals.
  • Review country dial code changes to determine correct definitions and routing breakouts.
QUALITY
  • Providing 2nd tier technical support for our internal customers within the company within the product guidelines of products like international voice, mobile services and SMS.
  • Quality management and monitoring of our products.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure quality data is correctly reflected in the systems. You share knowledge within and outside your team and you coach colleagues to become better.
  • Perform initial testing and evaluation of new integrations.
  • Work with the IT team and other technical teams on system enhancements.
  • Special projects or analysis duties as assigned or needed.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
  • Routing, Quality and Fraud team where you will work with on daily basis
  • Sales country Managers\' and Buying for vendor routing options and escalations
  • Sales for customer feedback and cost queries
  • Market Makers and Country Managers for deal analysis, pricing and margin concerns, destination strategy, expected cost levels, quality trouble shooting and customer trouble tickets or escalations
  • Network Operations Center (NOC) for quality trouble shooting and customer trouble tickets or escalations
  • Vendor Rate & Code Team
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor degree with electronic/telecommunications engineering background, or equivalent experience within telecommunication industry.
  • 1-3 years of office experience preferred but also accepting new graduates
  • Strong analytical skills: able to identify issues and develop sound conclusions through data analysis.
  • Good technical background
  • Highly motivated, driven and eager to learn
  • Strong problem-solving skills. Able to think outside the box and open to learning and acquiring new skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good customer orientation: ability to listen, identify root causes, and motivation to address problems.
