Job Description

Customer service:

Greet customers warmly, escort them to tables, and provide attentive service throughout their meal.

Order taking:

Take accurate food and beverage orders, enter them into the POS system, and relay them to the kitchen or bar.

Serving and clearing:

Serve food and drinks in a timely manner, refill drinks, and clear and reset tables between guests.

Menu knowledge:

Memorize menus and be prepared to answer questions and make recommendations, including options for dietary needs.

Payment processing:

Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.

Problem resolution:

Promptly address customer concerns and refer issues to management when necessary.

Maintain cleanliness:

Keep the dining area, workstations, and tables clean and organized, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Experience:

Prior experience as a server is often preferred.

Communication:

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.

Physical ability:

Must have the physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.

Multitasking:

The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Technical skills:

Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus.

Attitude:

A friendly, customer-oriented attitude is necessary for success.

Other skills:

Basic math skills for handling payments are required, and food safety certifications are beneficial.
