Profile Introduction: The Restaurant Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dishwashing, and food preparation areas. This role is essential for ensuring a safe and hygienic environment in a restaurant or dining establishment. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Dishwashing:Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashers or by hand as necessary.
- Kitchen and Equipment Cleaning:Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, including countertops, stovetops, ovens, and refrigerators.
- Garbage and Recycling:Empty trash cans regularly and ensure proper disposal of garbage.
- Assist Kitchen Staff:Support kitchen staff with tasks such as food preparation, ingredient handling, and plating when necessary.
- Stocking Supplies:Ensure that cleaning supplies and dishwashing detergents are adequately stocked.
- Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations:Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a hygienic environment.
