Key Responsibilities:Operations & Service Management:
Supervise daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and, where required, back-of-house coordination
Ensure excellent guest service and handle customer complaints professionally
Monitor dining room setup, cleanliness, ambiance, and service flow
Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food service
Staff Management:
Hire, train, and manage front-of-house staff (waiters, hosts, bartenders, etc.)
Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations
Motivate staff to achieve high service standards and team performance
Financial & Inventory Control:
Monitor daily sales, control costs, and ensure profitability
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Oversee inventory, stock levels, and ordering of supplies
Reduce wastage and ensure efficient use of resources
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations
Maintain high standards of food safety (HACCP), cleanliness, and guest satisfaction
Enforce restaurant policies and procedures
Marketing & Promotion:
Work with marketing team or management on promotional activities, events, and customer loyalty programs
Handle online reviews, reservations, and guest feedback platforms (Google, Zomato, TripAdvisor, etc.)
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager (2-5 years)
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Knowledge of restaurant operations, POS systems, and basic accounting
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure professionally
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or Business Administration
Experience in fine-dining or high-volume restaurant environments
Familiarity with health & safety regulations and food handling practices
Basic knowledge of marketing and social media engagement for restaurants
