Job Description

The Restaurant Hostess is responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming seating experience. She serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a crucial role in setting the tone for their dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and thank them when leaving. Manage table reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists efficiently. Escort guests to their assigned tables and present menus. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to manage seating flow and table turnover. Answer telephone inquiries regarding reservations, restaurant hours, and menu details. Maintain the reception area and entrance in a tidy and professional manner. Handle guest complaints or direct them to the appropriate manager. Assist with special requests, such as birthday or anniversary arrangements. Upsell promotions or special menu items when appropriate. Maintain guest records for VIPs and regulars to personalize the experience. Follow all safety, hygiene, and grooming standards of the restaurant.
