Being the key stakeholder for the operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the restaurant, providing a prompt and professional service to our guests. To be responsible for creating a memorable dining experience within our restaurant. Responsibilities
  • To be the key stakeholder responsible for the operations and implement business strategies within internal and external customers with a focus to achieve 6 monthly and yearly budgets.
  • Ensure all operational duties are completed and adhered to by the team, and each department is operating in a smooth and efficient manner through the forecasting and planning of sufficient manning in line with the needs of the business.
  • Be fully aware of the restaurant order of service and standards, and provide support to the team with service to ensure the guests needs are understood and fulfilled
  • Oversee the management of daily, weekly and monthly levels of stocks and ensure all items are stocked to the required par levels to deliver an uninterrupted dining experience and service excellence
  • Ensure the completion of cash pickup and banking duties take place, at the end of each day as per procedures and complete weekly financial reports to be presented at weekly/monthly meetings, with a focus on cost of sales and continually recommend areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the compilation of annual budgets, and retain cost of sales, payroll, and other operational costs in line with agreed budget
  • Ensure all contractors fulfil their duties and maintain service records. Liaise with the R&M team of all repair and maintenance work required for the restaurant, detecting any potential work requirement. This also includes implementing PMC schedule and managing all AMCs for plants and machinery as per PMC requirement. Also ensures that all history card for all P&M and equipment\xe2\x80\x99s are maintained where ever possible.
  • Provide and monitor point of sales training and implement a contingency plan should the point of sales fail to operate.
  • Recruitment of the restaurant management team, organise training and carry out one to one appraisals and other feedback meeting, including performance management meetings with the restaurant team
  • Ensure the team have the necessary tools to carry out their duties and the team are properly trained in line with the training manuals and brands standards and all training is recorded, provide regular feedback to help improve the teams performance and the performance of the restaurant.
  • To ensure that all planned marketing activities start as per the Marketing calendar and contribute towards the budgeted sales for that month.
General Duties:
  • Maintain a good rapport and working relationship with all staff and suppliers.
  • Provide a courteous, professional, attentive, and efficient service at all times with customers, staff and suppliers alike.
  • Be fully conversant with the geographical layout of the operation and to know the exact whereabouts of all equipment of an operational nature
  • Have a complete understanding of the restaurant operation and respond to any changes in the restaurant function as requested by the Manager.
  • Attend and contribute to all staff briefings/meetings and other related activities.
  • Support new recruits through on the job training personally and introduce them to the culture of the operation for maximum output and team bonding.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, and as per the personal presentation policy, and report for duty punctually, wearing the appropriate attire.
  • To undertake and carry out any other reasonable roles and responsibilities as requested by the Manager.
  • Cost control with a focus on all controllable expenses and to ensure that all expenses are in line with the budgeted expenses.
  • Material Management
Desired Candidate Profile - Financially astute and confident with all budgets, P&Ls, payroll, cash procedure, cost of sales and so on. - Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, time management, service standards and attention to detail. - A clear Sales and Marketing focus to achieve budgeted sales from B2B & B2C. - Able to remain calm under pressure and displays patience and perseverance towards internal and external guests. Practices an excellent leadership style to guide and motivate the team for maximum output during operations. - Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written, with the ability to communicate confidently.
