Job Description

We Vananam Foods team is looking for dynamic Restaurant Captain with below expectation-

Guest Experience & Service



Guest Greeting & Seating:

Welcome and seat guests, and assist with reservations.

Menu Knowledge & Recommendations:

Explain menu items, answer guest questions, and make suitable recommendations.

Order Taking:

Take guest orders accurately and efficiently, and communicate special requests or allergies to the kitchen.

Service Quality:

Ensure that food and beverages are served promptly, correctly, and with enthusiasm.

Problem Resolution:

Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Staff Management

Supervision & Training:

Oversee the work of servers and other dining staff, and train new employees on procedures and standards.

Coordination & Briefing:

Brief the team before each shift on specials, VIPs, and daily sales targets, and assign their duties.

Performance Monitoring:

Ensure staff adhere to the restaurant's dress code and hygiene standards.
Operations & Logistics

Kitchen Coordination:

Act as the liaison between the kitchen and the dining area to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of dishes.

Inventory Management:

Monitor and manage dining room supplies, such as cutlery, glassware, and napkins.

Cleanliness & Organization:

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the dining area and associated workspaces.

Point of Sale (POS) Operations:

Process bills, handle cash and credit card payments, and perform shift-closing procedures on the POS system.
Pre-Shift & Post-Shift Responsibilities

Pre-Shift Preparation:

Arrive early to review reservations, inspect the dining area for readiness, and prepare side stations.

End-of-Shift:

Ensure tables are clean, side stations are restocked and locked, and all transactions are settled before leaving.
