This position bridges communication between the service team and kitchen, supervises service quality, and supports the Fired Up culture of warm hospitality and craft-focused dining.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service Excellence
Greet guests warmly and ensure a memorable Fired Up dining experience.
Supervise service flow across dining, counter, or delivery pickup zones.
Handle guest feedback, minor complaints, and special requests with professionalism.
Guide guests through the menu, highlight signature artisanal pizzas, ingredients, and specials.
Team Coordination & Leadership
Lead servers and runners during service to ensure smooth operations.
Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate menu changes, promotions, table allocations, and service priorities.
Assist in training new team members on service style, brand standards, and guest engagement techniques.
Coordinate closely with kitchen and pizza-making teams to ensure accurate order communication.
Operational Duties
Ensure tables are set, organized, and clean according to Fired Up brand presentation.
Oversee opening and closing procedures for the restaurant floor.
Monitor table turnover, reservation handling, and waitlist management.
Check food and beverage presentation before it is served to guests.
Sales & Upselling
Promote add-ons such as appetizers, craft beverages, desserts, and signature specials.
Encourage upselling in line with brand guidelines without compromising guest experience.
Support promotional campaigns, combo offers, and new menu launches.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure frontline staff follow hygiene, grooming, and service protocols.
Verify that all service areas remain clean, organized, and properly stocked.
Monitor safety procedures and ensure compliance with health standards.
Communication & Reporting
Communicate guest issues, staff performance notes, and operational challenges to the Restaurant Manager.
Assist with daily service reports or incident logs as required.
Maintain effective communication between floor staff and kitchen team.
Skills & Requirements
Experience as a Captain, Senior Waiter, or Team Leader in a casual or premium dining setup (pizza or artisanal brands preferred).
Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Excellent guest service orientation with a friendly, confident personality.
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of POS systems and basic order management.
Passion for food, hospitality, and artisan-style dining experiences.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak hours.
