Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused

Restaurant Captain

to lead service operations and ensure an excellent dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will supervise and coordinate the activities of service staff, maintain service standards, and serve as the key point of contact between guests and the restaurant team.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome guests, ensuring they are seated comfortably and attended to promptly. Supervise and guide waitstaff in delivering high-quality service. Take food and beverage orders and ensure they are served correctly and efficiently. Monitor dining areas to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to service standards. Handle guest complaints and special requests with professionalism and efficiency. Train new service staff and provide ongoing coaching to team members. Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely service and order accuracy. Assist in setting up tables, managing reservations, and maintaining the dining area. Recommend menu items and upsell food and beverages to maximize revenue. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a restaurant captain, senior waiter, or team leader in F&B. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and etiquette. Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues diplomatically. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training or diploma is a plus. Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer skills.
