Job Description

Key Responsibilities:Patient Care & Monitoring:



Monitor the condition of admitted obstetric, gynecological, and pediatric patients. Conduct regular ward rounds, document patient progress, and update treatment charts. Respond promptly to medical emergencies such as postpartum hemorrhage, neonatal distress, seizures, etc.

Assisting in Procedures:



Assist obstetricians, pediatricians, and gynecologists during deliveries, cesarean sections, and minor procedures. Ensure proper pre-operative and post-operative care is provided to mothers and newborns.

Emergency & OPD Management:



Provide first-line treatment to walk-in and emergency patients. Stabilize patients and coordinate referrals when necessary.

Coordination & Communication:



Liaise with consultants, nursing staff, and lab/radiology teams to ensure seamless patient care. Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding patient condition, care plans, and updates.

Administrative Duties:



Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient records. Maintain ward registers, handover logs, and incident reports. Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control measures, and medical ethics.

Other Duties:



Participate in clinical audits, training sessions, and mortality meetings. Take handover and give detailed reports during shift changes. Handle medico-legal cases with proper documentation and protocol.

Qualifications & Requirements:



Education:

BAMS or BHMS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.

Registration:

Valid registration with the Medical Council or appropriate licensing body.

Experience:

1-3 years of experience as an RMO or medical officer, preferably in a maternity or pediatric hospital. Experience in labor room, NICU, or emergency settings is a strong advantage.

Skills:

Clinical judgment and emergency response skills. Good communication and teamwork. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and hospital information systems.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
