About Association Of Indian Forging Industry

The Association of Indian Forging Industry often referred to as AIFI, is an association of industrial units engaged in manufacturing forging components in India. It was incorporated on 1st October 1965 as the association of Indian Drop Forgings and Stamping Industries, which was later changed to the Association of Indian Forging Industry\' on 29 December 1995. The association is headquartered in Pune. The AIFI secretariat is based in Pune and has one core committee and 4 different sub-committees like technical sub-committee, finance, and admin sub-committee, government interface, and business development.

AIFI has members present across India. There are broadly two types of membership of AIFI. Core membership and associate membership. Core members are those members who are engaged in the forging business, while the associate members are the allied companies (vendors, equipment manufacturers, etc.) for whom forging companies are the prospective clients.

About the internship

Selected intern\'s day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Preparing media reports and press notes for media interaction
2. Assisting the senior manager in organizing press meets at concerned cities at regular intervals
3. Working on gathering periodical articles/inputs which are of interest to the forging industry and circulating the same to the members
4. Working on updating the suppliers\' directory and members\' directory regularly
5. Assisting in forging industry reports
6. Handling any other assignments entrusted by the managing committee/senior officers from time to time
7. Assisting the senior manager in work related to the arrangement of training/meeting/conference events
8. Working on cold calling
