Job Description

:

L&T Green Energy R&D group is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join the research team. The Research Scientist will work collaboratively with the team to improve the electrochemical performance of Electrolysers.

• Design, develop and test novel electrode, catalyst and cell materials for pressurised alkaline cells.
• Design, fabricate and characterize lab-scale components for prototypes.
• Materials characterization and failure analysis of materials, components and devices.
• Assist daily operation of materials/device synthesis, processing and characterization instrumentations including catalyst/electrode fabrication, gas chromatography, chemical and physical vapor deposition systems, electroplating and 3D printing systems.
• Assist preparation of research reports and publications of innovative electrochemical systems in peer-reviewed journals or patent applications
• Cooperate with L&T\xe2\x80\x99s R&D partner organisations to facilitate successful completion of targets.
• Communicate and collaborate with peer scientists and rapidly transfer new science and materials into integrated concepts, devices and prototypes.
• Mentor and train junior research staff.

• MSc/MTech/MS degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or other related field with 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in R&D.
• Strong technical background in electrochemistry, materials synthesis and characterization.
• Hands-on experience on synthesis, testing and characterization of electrochemical systems.

• PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or related discipline.
• Expertise in catalyst synthesis, fabrication and characterization of electrochemical materials and devices.
• Extensive and hands-on experience on synthesis, testing and characterization of electrochemical systems, including electrolysis, flow redox battery and batteries.
