Role Outline/Job Summary An opportunity exists to join Citi Research Markets as a Research Access Pod Head. From publishing rights to Research entitlements, this global team enables the connection between our department and our clients. They handle requests from internal Analyst and Sales teams and external clients and manage several proprietary databases. The successful candidate will report to the Research Access Lead and be responsible for driving all pod functions. Focus should be on best-in-class customer service, process improvement, and empowering staff members. Shift timing for the role - 2pm to 11pm. POSITION TITLE: Research Product Sr. Associate BUSINESS GROUP: Citigroup Global Markets India Private Limited FUNCTION/GROUP: Citi Research DEPARTMENT: Research Access LOCATION: Mumbai ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Business/ Department Objectives and Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Articulate and demonstrate Research Access Mission, Purpose, Values, and Principles
  • Deliver a personalized level of customer service. Foster a strong reputation with the client base and boost internal pride by enabling quality output.
  • Cascade SMART goals to staff. Designate staff assignments.
  • Monitor staffing needs. Identify key and at risk staff. Engage in hiring/interview processes.
  • Leverage Formal Courses/Degreed/Udemy to enhance managerial competency. Identify opportunity areas for self-development. Create a climate that prioritizes staff development and learning.
  • Host regular staff huddles for information exchange, team building, capture of successes and opportunity areas. Instill a sense of accountability, ownership, and pride.
  • Ensure adequate shift coverage, especially during holidays and planned leave. Assign a delegate to cover Pod Head tasks when unavailable.
  • Responsible for pod performance (SLA/TAT/ART), MIS, and quality control. First point of contact for escalations and customer complaints.
  • Assign requests based on staff skill sets, workload, and learning opportunities
  • Deliver complete and accurate shift handovers to following Pod Head.
  • Partner with peers to ensure smooth handling of the queue.
  • Evaluate pod processes. Identify obsolete, redundant, or ineffective actions to improve overall support levels. Raise proposals for new ideas. Implement as directed with minimal negative effect.
  • Promote cross-training to break down silos. Build personal and staff knowledge to enable start-to-finish task completion and increase efficiency.
  • Deliver on individual and team captaincy and additional duty assignments
QUALIFICATIONS Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in a business or finance related discipline or equivalent qualification Experience: 3 years of experience in relevant industry; People management or project lead assignments Preferred: Experience in the research domain is preferred Skills:
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with undaunted focus on client service
  • Communicate at different levels (within and outside the team) with ease. Comfortably interact with senior management stakeholders.
  • Ability to market Research Access services. Clearly describe who we are, what we do, and how we do it.
  • Positively influence staff to believe in and achieve team goals
  • Ability to hone workflows and processes for optimum efficiency
  • Manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Be self-motivated, highly focused, and detail-oriented with sufficient creativity to propose new ideas
  • A team player mentality - balance the drive to make the pod excel with a willingness to support other pods
