Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, invites applications for the following position
for the ICMR-funded research project titled \xe2\x80\x9cUnderstanding the effect of diabetes mellitus on
immunometabolic response to Burkholderia pseudomallei in Indian patients\xe2\x80\x9d at the Center for Emerging and Tropical Diseases (CETD), Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal in collaboration with
the Department of Biochemistry, KMC, Manipal.

Positions Eligibility and Remuneration Research
Assistant (RA) (1 Post) Eligibility: GATE/CSIR-UGC NET with scholarship OR Savitribai
Jyotirao Phule Fellowship (SJSGC) (or similar fellowship) qualified candidates with M.Sc./ M.Tech. in Microbiology/
Biotechnology/ Cell Biology/ Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry or related. Else candidate related with good academic track
willing to volunteer till they can qualify for TMA Pai fellowship.

Job description: Proficiency in bacteriological work and mammalian cell culturing; patient sample handling. Working
knowledge of PBMC isolation, flow cytometry/ FACS, western blot, immunoassays is added advantage. Scientific article
writing skills needed. Time deadline-oriented job delivery is expected.

Other benefit: Selected candidate will be entitled to register
for the Ph.D. program of the MAHE (subject to an assessment and fulfilling the eligibility criteria).
