Job Title: Reporting Specialist

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced Power BI & Qlik Sense developer to setup and manage the reporting operations for Alstom IS&T. The core responsibility of this position will be to maintain and improve the Qliksense & Power BI dashboards designed for IS&T. The ideal candidate has a sound understanding of data models and the visual elements available in Qliksense & Power BI. They will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy and consistent reporting.

Responsibilities Include

• Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions
• Utilize continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. ability to quantify impacts, customer first, waste elimination, increased productivity, iterate quickly, shorten feedback loop, experience creating relevant KPIs) to improve the service delivery
• Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting with comprehensive policies and processes.
• Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modelling
• Follow quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
• Combine complex data sets to provide actionable insights for KPI Improvement and enable faster decision making.
• Synthesize historical data to forecast trends and provide trend analysis to operations.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of relevant experience in reporting and analytics domain.
• Relevant experience of working on Qlik technologies & Power BI to build and develop reporting systems integrating various sources of data
• Experience in transition reports from Qlik to Power BI and vice versa
• Track record working with IT Executives, exhibiting composure, credibility, and technical acumen
• Familiarity in ITIL Foundations and with all key processes
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize the ecosystem and relationships of various IT technologies
• Communication Proficiency

Skills

• Qliksense - Develop Qliksense dashboards and enable operations contextual and meaningful dashboards. SME on Qliksense, ongoing training of other resources on Qliksense and BI related topics.
• Power BI - Develop Power BI Dashboards and enable operations contextual and meaningful dashboards. SME on Power BI
• ITIL - Enables understanding of various functions of IS&T and assess process capability based on ITIL framework.
• Service Now - Configuration of Service Now to enable configuration and testing of OLAs and SLAs
• Advanced Excel - Enable reports through excel by building complex macros and establishing scheduled reports with minimal intervention.

Competencies:

• Governance - Establish robust governance model to gather feedback on Qliksense, Power BI Dashboard.
• Communication - Improve usage of dashboards by soliciting feedback, ongoing Qliksense & Power BI awareness sessions and communication through Microsoft Teams & Newsletter with Tips and Tricks
• Data Analytics - Derive insights using different analytical models to provide data-based insights to enable operations for faster insights and expedite improvement of KPI Metrics.
• Presentation - Ability to present relevant and concise information to enable faster decision making. Customize presentations based on the audience (VP, Directors, Service Owners, Operations Manager & Suppliers), Mode of presentation (Remote vs. Face to face) & Location.
