Dow is looking for Reliability Specialist to be located in Chennai, India. The Asset Management Professional provides global support for master data management activities on SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and Materials Management (MM) through the Maintenance Technology Center. The specialist is trained and knowledgeable on Maintenance and Material Data creation, cleansing, classification, verification, validation, standardization and enrichment activities for ERP / CMMS master data management (MDM) as per SAP PM / MM module compliance, as well good knowledge on MDM global customer practices. Accountability/ Commitments towards quality and project schedule. Ability to develop / Populate below mentioned deliverables. Requires expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and broadens capabilities. Responsibilities PLANT MAINTENANCE (SAP-PM) DATA MANAGEMENT Master equipment list (MEL) / asset register preparation & Physical asset verification, mark-up and As Built of P&ID Develop functional location (FLOC) & Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) for equipment. Review Recommendation of new spares from vendor documents and spare parts inter-changeability record (SPIR) PM Plan, maintenance item, task list, task list group & interpret and incorporate FMEA outputs with PM plan. PM spares against task list operations & Maintenance of Work-Pack preparation against work orders MATERIALS MANAGEMENT (SAP-MM) DATA MANAGEMENT Material creation in SAP MM using transaction codes & Cleansing, standardization, enrichment and de-duping. Materials Coding and Cataloguing, Coding logics as per MESC, UNSPSC standards Classification of materials based on noun and modifier (Class) concept with suitable attributes (Characteristic) Class, Characteristic master template creation and standardize & Classify materials as OEM, general and consumable spares. Review SPIR/SPDF with all related documents and establish operational spares for new projects & experienced in MRO spares criticality analysis and optimization. Qualifications Bachelors degree only in Mechanical Engineering. 6 to 8 years of experience working in Chemical/ petrochemical plants plus reliability, maintenance, manufacturing or related experience required. Additional Support Creates Equipment Reliability Strategies based upon Top Opportunity List, Critical Equipment List, and identified plant/business needs. Validates ERS implementation and closes gaps to improve/sustain reliability improvement. Evaluates effectiveness of individual aspects of the PPM program by showing quantitatively the impact of failures and Predictive Preventive Maintenance (PPM). Optimizes PPM activities, on an on-going basis, to support overall productivity improvements. Identifies and resolve Top Reliability Opportunities and decrease equipment failure losses in order to meet the site Product Supply Reliability improvement goals for the given year. Develops and maintains, as requested, a model that identifies the unit operations, equipment, process, etc. that identifies the value of opportunities for improvement.
