Job Description


As a Release Manager within Structured Loan Technology team, you will be part of a feature team, collaborating with the product owner and team members to guide quality technology solutions that address line of business needs by working with internal team members and vendor team to use DevOps to deploy interface programs, coordinate tech shakeout and operational testing. You will utilize an Agile development, you will be involved in all stages of the project life cycle: Backlog refinement, Development, Testing and Release to Production. Through analysis and design, you will translate business needs into solutions by making recommendation, documenting functional specification, and developing agreed upon changes while supporting a 100% traceable end to end process. The position will ensure that incident, problem, change management and risk management procedures and processes are applied and followed as required. This position is very hands-on and requires the individual to adapt to challenging problems.

Specifically, the role requires you to:

  • Analyze, configure, test, debug and model the system components necessary to produce potentially shippable code with each sprint
  • Deliver high quality deliverables that complies with standards and satisfies architectural tests
  • Assist the team in supporting the application in all required environments
  • Participate in product backlog prioritization, estimate user stories using estimation tools, story mapping and story splitting activities
  • Prepare and lead sprint review meetings showcasing completed product backlog items to the product owner and subject matter experts
  • Proactively look to develop and implement best practices across the entire project team, practicing continuous process improvement
  • Collaborate face to face and virtually with the Product Owner, Operations and Technology partners around the world
  • Manage individual workload and work of team (both employees and consultants) to deliver agreed upon project milestones, identify/mitigate risks to delivery, and act as a team leader, providing support and a review point, for Agility lead and Engineers
  • As a hands-on team lead for the Structured Loan Technology team, you will be leading and working along with the team on the build out of the Structured Loan Technology applications
  • The job involves working in an Agile / Scrum feature team as a hands-on team lead and facilitate implementation of technical solutions, interact with the business users, product owners or SMEs for requirements, and liaise with the admin or Operate team for production release or post production support
  • Have strong expertise in the following areas Java, Linus, Oracle and scripting and be able to design, develop, debug, test & implement projects to bring efficiency to the application.

Qualifications:

Require Skills:
  • Excellent Java/J2EE skills and Core SQL skills (Oracle preferred)
  • Minimum 7+ years of programming/application development experience utilizing SQL
  • Proven skills in Scripting Technologies (Perl, Python, AIM, Jenkins)
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate with global teams
  • Strong leadership skills and willingness to drive change
  • Strong project management and team management skills e.g. planning, budgetary control, people management etc.,
  • Experience implementing quality guidelines, standards and procedures
  • BS/BA Degree in Computer Science or related field

Desired skills:
  • Working knowledge of the Loan Iq vendor loan agency and trading platform
  • Working knowledge of loan syndications and traded loans from both a product, system and operational perspective
  • Knowledge of Financial products and applications
  • Knowledge and experience working in an Agile Environment
