Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



Patient Care:

Provide direct nursing care to admitted patients (mothers, newborns, and pediatric patients). Monitor vital signs, administer medications, IV fluids, and injections as per doctor's instructions. Assist doctors during rounds and procedures. Maintain proper hygiene and comfort of the patients.

Maternal and Child Health Support:

Assist in labor, delivery, and postnatal care. Support breastfeeding and educate new mothers on newborn care and hygiene. Handle immunization schedules and vaccine administration for children.

Documentation and Records:

Maintain accurate and timely nursing records. Update patient charts, medication records, and observation notes. Report any abnormal findings or changes in patient condition to the doctor promptly.

Infection Control and Safety:

Follow infection control protocols and ensure aseptic techniques. Maintain cleanliness of the nursing unit and ensure proper disposal of medical waste.

Emergency Response:

Respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies, including neonatal or maternal complications. Perform CPR or basic life support as needed.

Coordination and Communication:

Coordinate with doctors, dieticians, physiotherapists, and other hospital staff for patient care. Communicate effectively with patient families, providing updates and emotional support.

Shift and Duty Management:

Work in rotational shifts, including night duties as per duty rosters. Ensure proper handover during shift changes.

Qualifications and Requirements:



Education:

GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / ANM with registration under State Nursing Council

Experience:

0-3 years (Freshers may also apply)

Skills:

Clinical knowledge in maternal and child care Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations Compassionate, patient-focused attitude

Working Conditions:



Shift-based duties (Morning, Evening, Night) Exposure to clinical and emergency care environments May involve long hours during patient rush or critical care
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
