Job Description

The position will be the primary regional liaison for internal and external interactions associated with Supply Chain Security matters. The successful candidate must have a proven capability to excel in a collaborative, diverse, complex, resource-constrained environment and be able to drive decision-making processes that involve multiple constituencies and constraints.

Essential Functions:

1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
2. Lead the Regional execution of global Supply Chain Security Strategy, including tactical operations designed to protect supply chain from threats and acts of theft, product diversion, tampering, missing or loss shipments, terrorism, illicit activities, and unauthorized access via effective security measures, analysis, expert consultation, and investigations leading to meaningful root cause determinations, corrective actions, compliance, and law enforcement outcomes.
3. Act as Supply Chain Security liaison officer with Make, Deliver, Quality, Transportation, Warehousing, Brand Protection, Risk Management, Compliance, business development, customer service, and other related and other supply chain representatives.
4. Conduct thorough security assessments, and due diligence investigations in compliance with the Global Security standards of existing and new suppliers and providers involved in the COVID-19 vaccine and to provide recommendations to enhance the security conditions at the site/operation. Activities include but not limited to interviews with corporate personnel and visits to their offices, manufacturing plants, warehouses, and associated facilities, transportation and storage to monitor the integrity of the locations where our products are manufactured, stored and distributed.
5. Manage regional execution of initiatives to identify and enhance protection of supply chain operations and products categorized as "high value"
6. Obtain, research and disseminate supply chain security regional and local intelligence as directed.
7. Interface regularly with insurers representatives to maintain reasonable and acceptable compliance with their supply chain security requirements.
8. Act as principal security liaison officer with regional, country, local, state, and federal law enforcement officials and agencies as it would relate to supply chain security programs.
9. Conduct and/or coordinate investigations into events that involve supply chain security issues.
10. Provide training to local employees and contracted service providers that would relate to supply chain security procedures and protocols.
11. Remain current with the newest technological advances within the supply chain security discipline.
12. Participate in associated seminars, conferences, workshops and like events as they would relate to the supply chain and physical security disciplines.
13. Measure and report supply chain security performance in collaboration with designated Regional Security leads.
14. Study and assess implementation of technology and innovative solutions to mitigate supply chain security risk.
15. Manage and/or support matrixed cross functional response to Supply Chain Security events.
16. Coordinate and/or support matrixed Regional Security personnel in investigations for supply chain security matters.
17. Manage and/or support matrixed supply chain risk intelligence gathering and monitor efforts of emerging threats to global supply chain security as well as related country/region specific regulations.
18. Manage the flow of communications related to Regional supply chain security and disseminate relevant information within Global Security.
19. Support the development and manage execution of supply chain security policies, procedures and standards.
20. Manage regional execution and compliance with established government trade security programs in which CTPAT, AEO, PIP, and similar country-based initiatives in which participates.
21. Develop and maintain regional proactive supply chain security guidance and subject matter material to communicate established policies, standards, and best practices.
22. Develop and maintain oversight of contract business partner resources in support of the Supply Chain Security strategic and tactical needs.
23. Manage operational expenditures to align with Corporate and Regional business activities and requirements providing strong financial stewardship assuring spend is focused on supporting the mission and does not exceed approved authorized levels.
24. Support the development and manage execution of supply chain security policies, procedures and standards.
25. Manage regional execution and compliance with established government trade security programs in which CTPAT, AEO, PIP, and similar country-based initiatives in which participates.
26. Develop and maintain regional proactive supply chain security guidance and subject matter material to communicate established policies, standards, and best practices.
27. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

  • The candidate should have a minimum of a 5 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree and must be experienced in conducting investigations and collaborating with law enforcement personnel.
  • Experience at such a level that could only be attained from 5 years or more in a management role in law enforcement and/or Security.
  • Bachelor's degree (MBA and other certified studies are a plus).
  • Regional language and English language proficiency.
  • Minimum 5 years' professional experience preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • He or she must also have considerable knowledge of both physical and technical security systems, capabilities and vulnerabilities within the private sector.
  • Knowledge and experience in physical security principles and security risk assessment methodologies.
  • English is a must.
  • Professional security certification (i.e. CPP, etc.)

Competencies:
  • General understanding of pharmaceutical operations and related supply chains including regulatory requirements (i.e GxP, CTPAT, AEO, PIP, etc) and security plans.
  • General understanding of supply chain operations, logistics, warehousing, all modes of transportation, and freight forwarding.
  • Investigations experience supporting or generating case reports for criminal and civil enforcement actions.
  • Working understanding of industry best and recommended supply chain security practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient use of MS Office software and presentation tools.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with and preparing briefing materials and reports for management and government officials.
  • Must be innovative and work independently with an aggressive workload in a high performing environment.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment with exceptional levels of collaboration, clarity and honesty in dealing with peers, team members and all others in a flat and nimble organization.
  • Ability to champion new ideas or positions to meet key goals and initiatives.
  • Strong commitment to patient safety and compliance requirements.
  • Must possess and demonstrate strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of Intelligence and Risk Management methodologies.
